| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field occupied by the Farnese dynastic coat of arms displayed within an ornate oval shield, the device consisting of six fleurs-de-lis arranged in two vertical columns on a divided field. A ring or annulet appears above the shield as a heraldic mark of cadency. A quatrefoil ornament is placed at the central crossing point of the arms. The four quadrants created by the cross are plain. The overall execution is consistent with mid-sixteenth-century North Italian hammered silver coinage. |
