Additional information

John III of Pernstein acquired the County of Glatz in 1537, inheriting a jurisdiction that had passed through Bohemian, Habsburg, and noble hands with unusual frequency. His tenure was financially precarious — the Pernstein family, once among the wealthiest magnates in Bohemia, was already sliding toward the insolvency that would force the sale of most of their holdings by mid-century. Coins struck under his authority in Glatz during 1541–1544 fall squarely within that contraction.

MB#29 is not a common attribution in general catalogues, placing this piece firmly in specialist territory.
