The bilinear legend is divided into two concentric bands: the inner legend reads HEN COM LANC and the outer reads BNDICTV: SIT: NOME: DNI: NRI: DEI, separated by a beaded border. The entire design is enclosed within a plain outer rim. The hammered flan is irregular in shape, characteristic of mid-14th-century feudal coinage.
