Obverse description A plain long cross divides the field into four quarters, with a small central annulet at the intersection. An inner beaded circle surrounds the cross, with the devotional and issuer legend in uncial Latin characters distributed across the four quadrants of the legend band. The flan is irregular in shape, as characteristic of hammered medieval coinage, with a slightly uneven strike.
