Reverse description A Châtel Tournois (castle Tournois) depicted in the centre of the field, surmounted by a crown within the turret, faithfully following the Tournois type introduced under the French royal coinage. The castle is flanked by lateral ornaments in the field. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin characters identifies the issuing lord, separated by the castle structure. The overall design closely imitates contemporary French royal gros tournois coinage, adapted for the feudal lordship of Bergerac.
