Reverse description Central device depicts the stylised Châtel Tournois (Tours castle), rendered as a turreted tower within a beaded inner circle, faithfully imitating the French royal gros tournois prototype. Surrounding the castle is the ducal legend, and beyond a second beaded border runs a decorative ring of twelve fleur-de-lis, each set within a small circle, forming an elegant outer frame. The overall design closely follows the Capetian gros tournois type, adapted here for the Duchy of Lorraine under Frederick IV.
