| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field depicts the châtel tournois — a stylised castle of Tours with a crenellated tower and three merlons above an arched gateway — set within a beaded inner circle. Surrounding the castle is a broad border ornamented with twelve heraldic lilies (fleurs-de-lis) arranged evenly at the points of a notched outer circle, with trefoil foliate motifs filling the intervening spaces. The outer legend in Gothic majuscules reads the standard Tournois city inscription. The overall composition closely follows the French Gros Tournois prototype while exhibiting the slightly coarser engraving style associated with the Frankfurt imperial mint. |
