| Beschrijving keerzijde | A long double-armed cross (cross pattée style) divides the reverse field into four quarters, each containing a segment of the circular inner legend within a beaded circle. At the centre of the cross, a small eagle device is visible, referencing the imperial and civic symbolism of Aachen. The outer legend, separated from the inner by beaded borders, carries the full two-part inscription identifying the city and its mint authority. The overall design follows the Tournois groschen tradition adapted for Aachen's civic coinage. |
