| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features the heraldic shield of Lorraine, depicted at a tilted angle and surmounted by a great helm from which an eagle displayed in flight serves as the crest. The shield and helm divide the surrounding Latin legend into two portions. The die work is characteristic of late 14th-century French-influenced hammered coinage, with Gothic lettering bordering the central device. |
