Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a large royal crown occupies the central field, surmounted by a three-point label flanked by two fleurs-de-lis, rendered in bold relief in the Gothic hammered style. Below the crown, a decorative base element with pellet ornaments is visible. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin characters is separated from the central device by the beaded border, reading the titulature of Joanna I as Queen of Jerusalem and Sicily.

Reverse description The central field is divided by a vertical line into two distinct heraldic quarters: the dexter side bearing the Jerusalem cross potent accompanied by four smaller crosslets, representing the Kingdom of Jerusalem; and the sinister side displaying three fleurs-de-lis arranged on a plain field, representing the house of Anjou. The entire device is set within a beaded inner circle, with the surrounding uncial Latin legend referencing the County of Provence and the county of Forcalquier.
