Obverse description Central field dominated by a plain cross pattée set within a raised beaded inner circle. An inner legend band encircles the central motif, separated from the outer legend by a second beaded border. The outer legend band carries the full titular inscription of Guy IV, Count of Saint-Pol, in Gothic-style Latin characters. The overall design follows the typical French feudal gros tournois-inspired format of the early fourteenth century.
