Reverse description The reverse displays the enthroned Madonna and Child (Patrona Hungariae) facing forward within a beaded inner circle, the Virgin crowned and seated in mandorla-like glory, holding the Christ Child on her left arm. A cross appears at the top of the composition above the figures. The date 1624 is divided to the left of the central image, while the legend PATRONA · HVNGARIAE · runs along the outer border, identifying the Virgin as the Patroness of Hungary. The hammered flan shows slight irregularity at the edges, typical of Kremnica mint production of this period.
