Obverse description Central design features a Tournois-style turreted castle with a cross surmounting its tower, the vertical arm of the cross dividing the encircling Latin legend. The castle and legend are enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The outer border is composed of nine alternating fleurs-de-lis and small escutcheons bearing the arms of Bar, arranged in a ring around the inner circle.
