| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the crowned shield of Savoy — a cross argent on gules — flanked on either side by a Savoy knot, a dynastic emblem of the House of Savoy. The shield is rendered in a late-Gothic heraldic style typical of early sixteenth-century Savoyard coinage. The design is contained within a beaded inner circle. A Latin legend in Gothic lettering runs around the periphery, identifying the issuing duke. |

| Reverse description | A bold cross pattée of Mauritian type, with trefoil or club-shaped terminals at each arm, set within a four-lobed (quadrilobe) frame, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The quatrefoil frame accentuates the cruciform central motif, a hallmark of Savoyard ecclesiastical and heraldic tradition. The execution is typical of hammered billon coinage from the Aosta mint under Charles III. A Latin peripheral legend referencing the Aosta mint and the engraver Nicola Vialard encircles the entire composition. |
