Obverse description Within a polylobe inner border, the quartered arms of Savoy are displayed on a shield surmounted by a crested helmet, the crest depicted as a demi-figure with raised arms. The shield is flanked on either side by decorative knotted or tied ropes. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters runs along the outer border of the coin.
