| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field divided into four quarters by a cross pattée, bearing the heraldic arms of the joint rulers: the upper left and lower right quarters display an eagle, while the upper right and lower left quarters display a checkered (checky) shield, representing the coats of arms of the Dukes of Münsterberg and Oels respectively. The quartered shield is rendered in the late Gothic heraldic style characteristic of early sixteenth-century Silesian coinage. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters surrounds the central device, reading the names and titles of the co-ruling dukes. The coin is struck on an irregular flan typical of hammered silver issues of the period. |
