Obverse description A patée cross occupies the central field, dividing the inner legend and punctuated by a ring at the terminus of each arm. The design is contained within three concentric pearled circles, with two separate Latin legends running in the intervening annular spaces. The outer legend carries the devotional inscription, while the inner legend identifies the ruler and his titles, rendered in uncial characters throughout.
