The flat, hammered flan displays characteristic irregular edges typical of medieval French silver coinage, with the cross rendered in bold, high relief against a plain field. |

| Opis rewersu | Central device depicts the stylized Chateau des Tours (Castle of Tours), a turreted tower surmounted by a small cross, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. Between the inner and outer borders runs the circular legend identifying the city of Tours. The outer border is adorned with twelve fleurs-de-lis evenly spaced around the circumference, a hallmark of the Gros Tournois type introduced under Louis IX and continued under Philip III. The overall design is characteristic of the canonical Tournois type, struck on a broad, thin hammered flan. |
