| Obverse description | Central field features an ornate crested tournament helmet surmounting the heraldic shield of Bishop Frederik van Blankenheim, the shield bearing a rampant lion. The helmet is elaborately decorated with mantling that fills the field on both sides. The design is executed in high relief typical of late medieval hammered coinage. A beaded inner circle borders the central device, with the episcopal legend running in uncial lettering around the outer circumference. |

| Reverse description | A displayed eagle with spread wings occupies the upper portion of the field, positioned above the quartered cross shield of the Sticht (the prince-bishopric of Utrecht), the cross shield being divided into quadrants by a bold cross. The eagle's body and wings are rendered in bold relief characteristic of late medieval episcopal coinage. The shield and eagle together form a compact heraldic composition centered within a beaded inner border. The surrounding legend in uncial lettering references the mint at Hasselt and is divided by the eagle and shield devices. |
