| Popis líce | A displayed eagle occupies the central field, its wings spread and head turned, grasping a tilted heraldic shield bearing the quartered arms of Bavaria-Hainaut. The eagle and shield are rendered in the bold, stylised Gothic manner typical of late 14th-century Low Countries coinage. The central device is enclosed within a plain inner circle, beyond which a Gothic majuscule legend runs continuously around the periphery, separated by double-star punctuation marks. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan and slightly uneven strike associated with hand-hammered silver issues of this period. |
