Obverse description A heraldic eagle displayed in the central field, its wings fully spread and elaborately rendered with detailed feathering, the head turned sinister. The bird's body fills the inner circle, which is defined by a beaded inner border. The surrounding legend in Gothic uncial script reads the count's name and title, separated by pellet stops, running between the inner beaded ring and the outer toothed rim of the coin.
