Surrounding the central device is an inner legend separated by a beaded border, with a further border of twelve fleur-de-lis alternating with pellets within circles forming the outer ring. The overall design reflects the strong Tournois influence prevalent in Hainaut coinage of the mid-to-late fourteenth century. The legends are executed in Gothic majuscule lettering. |

| 裏面の説明 | Central motif consists of a short cross pattée set within a plain inner circle, dividing the field into four equal quadrants. The cross is surrounded by an inner circular legend and an outer legend, both separated by beaded borders, together forming the characteristic double-legend arrangement of the gros tournois type. Lettering is rendered in Gothic majuscule script throughout. The overall design is consistent with the Tournois-derived coinage struck in the Low Countries during the reign of William III of Bavaria as Count of Hainaut. |
