Obverse description Crowned bust of Peter de Portugal facing left, rendered in medieval hammered style. The effigy displays a prominent crown with fleur-de-lis points, beneath which the hair falls in fine parallel striations to the nape. The face is shown in profile with stylized features characteristic of 15th-century Catalan coinage. The truncation of the bust is visible at the lower field. The design is contained within a beaded inner circle.

Reverse description A long cross extending to the inner circle divides the reverse field into four quarters, with an annulet positioned in the second and third angles and three bezants (pellets) arranged in the first and fourth angles. A circular Latin legend runs around the periphery, contained between two beaded circles. The overall composition is typical of late medieval Catalan ecclesiastical-influenced coinage struck at Cervera.
