Reverse description A short cross pattée centred in the field, with the four angles occupied alternately by fleurs-de-lis and crowns, forming a decorative quartered arrangement typical of Low Countries groat coinage of the early fifteenth century. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A circumferential legend in uncial Gothic lettering surrounds the central motif, invoking a Scriptural blessing. The strike is typical of hammered billon production, with some weakness at the edges.
