Obverse description Facing bust of Saint Peter rendered in Gothic style, set within a pentalobe (five-lobed) inner frame. The saint holds a key in his left hand and the Gospels in his right hand. Below the bust, a quartered shield bearing the combined arms of Brabant and Limburg divides the surrounding Latin legend, which runs along the outer periphery in uncial characters.
