| Obverse description | Royal coat-of-arms displayed within a quatrefoil frame, itself enclosed by a beaded inner circle. The shield is superimposed over a long cross with three-pellet tips extending to the edge of the inner circle. The surrounding legend reads HENRICVS DI GR AGLIE REX in Latin characters, identifying the king by name and title. The overall design reflects the characteristic provincial hammered style of late fifteenth-century Irish coinage, with bold but somewhat irregular execution typical of the Waterford mint. |

| Reverse description | Three crowns arranged in the angles of a long cross with three-pellet tips, the entire design enclosed within a tressure of nine arcs. The letter H appears at the bottom cusp of the tressure, serving as a mint or moneyer mark. The whole is further enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend CIVITAS WATERFORDE in Latin identifies the issuing city of Waterford. The composition is characteristic of Irish provincial groats of the Henrician period, combining regal symbolism with civic identity. |
