Obverse description Crowned bust of Ferdinand II facing left, depicted in a Gothic style characteristic of late medieval Aragonese coinage. The king wears an ornate crown with fleurs-de-lis and flowing hair rendered in fine relief lines. The bust is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the royal legend distributed around the circumference of the field. The portrait is executed in the bold, slightly crude style typical of hammered silver coinage of the Barcelona Mint.
