| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bold cross pattée with flared arms extends to a beaded inner circle, dividing that circle into four equal quadrants and bisecting the inner legend which runs between the beaded inner circle and a second beaded ring. The four arms of the cross are plain and broad, characteristic of the late medieval groot coinage of the Low Countries. Between the two beaded circles an inner circular legend reads the continuation of the religious invocation, while the outer legend beyond the second beaded ring bears the mint attribution MONETA HOLAND. The overall design follows the standard double-legend groat typology common to the County of Holland in the late 14th century. |
