Obverse description Central field displays two heraldic shields side by side: the dexter shield bearing the lozengy arms of Bavaria and the sinister shield displaying the rampant lion of Holland. Between and above the shields rises a prominently rendered eagle displayed, its wings spread upward in Gothic style. A small rosette or flower ornament appears below the shields in the lower field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the circumferential legend reading around the periphery in Gothic lettering.
