Reverse description Central design features a short, plain cross with equal arms inscribed within a circle, dividing the inner field into four quadrants, each bearing a heraldic element. Two concentric circular legends in uncial Gothic lettering surround the central motif, separated by a beaded border. The inner legend carries the devotional inscription invoking the name of Jesus Christ, while the outer legend identifies the monetary authority and place of issue. The overall composition is typical of the gros tournois-influenced coinage of the prince-bishopric of Liège.
