A crowned double-headed imperial eagle is impressed at the centre of the flan, with an oval cartouche on the eagle's breast depicting St. George on horseback slaying the dragon. Denomination and date appear at the centre of the design, with the Cyrillic legend denoting value and mint city distributed across the field. Subsidiary impressions of the eagle appear in each of the four corners of the square flan, consistent with the standard format of Russian plate money of this issue. |
