| Reverse description | A quartered shield of Austria-Burgundy is displayed at centre, mounted upon a long cross pattée with splayed feet that extends to the legend circle and intersects the surrounding inscription. The shield bears the combined arms of the Habsburg and Burgundian houses, reflecting the regency of Philip the Handsome under Maximilian of Austria. The cross divides the reverse into four quarters, a layout typical of Flemish billon coinage of the late fifteenth century, with the legend occupying the spaces between the cross arms. |
