| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large, finely rendered fleur-de-lis in high relief, its three petals rising prominently from a stylized foliate base, flanked by the date 1896 divided across the lower field. The design consciously evokes the medieval Hungarian goldgulden tradition, with the lily motif historically associated with Angevin coinage. A small mint mark or privy mark appears at the lower right of the central device. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with the Latin legend running along the outer periphery, separated by decorative stops. |
