| Obverse description | Nearly plain flan displaying highly stylized, deeply abstracted remnants of a human head in the Celtic artistic tradition. The facial features are reduced to schematic elements, with a prominent hollow depression indicating the eye socket. The design is struck on an irregular flan with a characteristically rough, slightly convex surface. The field bears numerous flow lines and surface irregularities typical of hammered Celtic gold coinage. No legend or inscription is present. |
