| Beschrijving keerzijde | A warrior depicted as a javelin-thrower, clad in a short tunic and pteruges (a layered leather skirt of military dress), advances to the right while mounted on a rearing horse. The warrior's right arm is raised, brandishing a javelin, in a dynamic composition characteristic of late Atrebatic coinage. The horse is rendered with stylised three-pronged projections from its head, conventionally described as 'antler' ears, a distinctive motif of this series. A two-letter inscription appears below in the exergue, divided as C and F, understood as an abbreviation for Commios Filius (Son of Commios), asserting Tincomarus's dynastic lineage. The design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
