Obverse description Abstract Late Iron Age design featuring two crossed wreaths, one of which is curved, with a pair of thick back-to-back crescents at the centre separated by one, two, or three pellets depending on die variety. Stylised vestigial faces occupy the four angles formed by the crossing wreaths. Four pellet-in-ring motifs are positioned near the curves, while outline crescents appear at the coin's periphery. The overall composition reflects the characteristically schematised Celtic artistic tradition derived from earlier Macedonian gold stater prototypes.
