| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse presents a cruciform pattern composed of a vertical line-and-pellet wreath intersecting with crossed stalks, dividing the field into four panels. The tribal ruler's name and title appear distributed across the panels in two registers, forming the legend TASCI RICON (or variant spellings), executed in the angular, abbreviated Latin lettering characteristic of Late Iron Age British coinage. The design is rendered in the stylised abstract idiom typical of Catuvellaunian gold staters, with pellet ornaments filling the interstices of the wreath motif. No portrait effigy appears; the inscription itself serves as the primary device. |
