Obverse description Abstract Celtic design composed of three back-to-back outline crescents arranged symmetrically with points facing outward around a central pellet, a pellet occupying each cusp of the crescents. The entire motif is enclosed within a border of six arcs, each cusp of which contains a triad or lozenge arrangement of pellets. The composition is characteristic of late Iceni abstract art, with no figural imagery on this face.

Reverse description A stylized horse prancing to the right, rendered in the abstract Celtic manner, with dashes indicating the mane and a large, prominent oval head. The shoulder area occasionally bears a triple-leaf ornament, and the upper forelegs are rendered as a doubled line. Beneath the horse's head appears the letter S. Above the horse, a phallic symbol — depicted as an elongated ring enclosing a central pellet — is flanked on either side by a triad of pellets. Below the horse, a further pellet and the inscription ECE appear in the field.
