| Opis awersu | Heavily corroded and largely featureless obverse face, the original design entirely obscured by advanced oxidation and surface degradation consistent with the loss of the thin gold plating over the base bronze core. The flan is irregular and misshapen, with a convex profile typical of hammered Celtic staters. No discernible design elements, inscriptions, or decorative motifs survive on this side. The rough, pitted surface texture is characteristic of a debased contemporary counterfeit whose plating has fully delaminated. |

| Opis rewersu | The reverse displays a schematically rendered Celtic horse galloping to the left, rendered in the debased Late Whaddon Chase stylistic tradition. The horse is surrounded by scattered pellets of varying sizes in the field, including a prominent large pellet and several smaller pellets characteristic of the 'Big Pellet / Pellet' sub-type. A rudimentary charioteer or driver figure appears above the horse's back, reduced to abstract linear strokes. The overall design is crudely executed relative to official Whaddon Chase staters, consistent with a contemporary counterfeit produced by an unofficial celator imitating the mainstream Catuvellauni coinage of the period. |
