Obverse description Central corn ear or plant motif rendered in stylised Celtic fashion, with a prominent central stalk bearing branching lateral sprigs terminating in pellets or berry-like pellet clusters. Decorative flourishes and tendrils appear at the base of the stalk. The divided legend CA-MV is disposed one element to each side of the central plant design, inscribed in Latin characters within the open field.
