| Obverse description | Highly abstracted effigy of Apollo facing right, rendered in the late Celtic curvilinear style typical of southern British Iron Age coinage. The wreath is depicted with leaf tips pointing inward and upward, accompanied by a distinctive hairbar or spike terminating in a broad sweeping arc. A cloak motif and two linear crescents appear below the head, while occasional pellet triangles are positioned to the right of the wreath, varying between individual specimens. The design reflects the progressive stylistic debasement characteristic of contemporary counterfeit issues derived from the Chute-Cheriton transitional type. |

| Reverse description | Disjointed Celtic horse advancing left, its rectangular body formed by two curved segments in a highly schematised composition. A group of four, occasionally three, parallel lines appears behind the legs, while a dense field of pellets above is sometimes linked into a lattice arrangement. A four-armed spiral occupies the space before the horse, frequently rendered in a blundered form. A small arc or linear teardrop motif, sometimes elongated, appears beneath the neck, and an isolated coffee-bean pellet is placed behind the horse with no associated lines. Below the horse, a four-pronged pellet crab with notably elongated arms, occasionally surrounded by additional small pellets, anchors the lower field, while a segmented exergual line with zigzag ornament and pellets below completes the design. |
