| Beschrijving voorzijde | Essentially plain field, devoid of any intentional design, with a single raised band or banding visible across the centre of the flan. The surface exhibits the characteristic appearance of a base bronze core from which the original gold wash has largely worn away, consistent with a contemporary counterfeit produced to imitate a quarter stater. No legend, inscription, or figural device is present. The irregular flan surface and residual patination further attest to the debased nature of the piece. |
