Obverse description Facing head of Helios, radiate, with thick curly hair adorned with a wreath, the crown of long straight rays emanating outward in all directions around the entire circumference of the flan. The youthful, finely modelled visage is turned very slightly to the left, with clearly defined facial features executed in the accomplished South Italian Greek engraving style of the late fourth century BC.
