| Beschrijving voorzijde | Within a beaded inner circle, a heraldic lion rampant is depicted seated and facing left, positioned upon a tiled ground within an ornate Gothic architectural niche comprising two slender flanking columns surmounted by elaborate tracery and crocketed canopy work. Flanking the lion on each side are firesteel emblems, the personal badge of the Burgundian Order of the Golden Fleece, rendered in high relief. The entire composition exemplifies the refined Gothic craftsmanship characteristic of the Burgundian Netherlands coinage. The surrounding legend, separated by cinquefoil stops, runs clockwise within the beaded border. |
