| Beschrijving voorzijde | A large, boldly rendered fleur-de-lis occupies the central field, its three petals and ornamental base rendered in the Gothic style typical of 14th-century Florentine-influenced coinage. The fleur-de-lis is set within a lightly granulated inner border, with four small pellets or roundels positioned at the cardinal points between the petals and the surrounding legend. The circumferential Latin legend, separated from the central device by a beaded inner circle, reads AMED COMES, identifying the issuer as Count Amadeus. The coin's irregular hammered flan gives the edge a characteristic uneven profile. |
