Gold Ecu with sun of Dauphiné - Louis XII

正面描述	Quartered coat of arms divided by a plain cross, with the arms of France (three fleurs-de-lis) in the first and fourth quarters, and the arms of the Dauphiné (a dolphin) in the second and third quarters, all surmounted by a radiant sun above the shield in the upper field. The shield is rendered in a Gothic heraldic style typical of late medieval French coinage. A beaded inner circle separates the central device from the surrounding Latin legend. The entire composition is characteristic of the hammered gold écus au soleil issued under Louis XII.
