The surrounding circular legend is rendered in Gothic lettering, separated from the inner field by a beaded border, reading the royal titulature in abbreviated Latin. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Central device features a large crowned Gothic letter F occupying the majority of the inner field, flanked on either side by a fleur-de-lis, each rising from the base of the composition. The crown above the F is of the royal open type with fleurons. The entire device is enclosed within a plain inner circle, with the royal legend in abbreviated Latin Gothic lettering running around the periphery, separated by a beaded border. This reverse type derives from the dizain denomination, making this piece a notable mule combining the obverse of the écu au soleil with the reverse of the dizain. |
