Reverse description The elaborately quartered Spanish royal coat of arms, surmounted by a crown, is displayed centrally and supported on either side by rampant lions. The date appears in the upper field divided by the shield. The legend encircles the design, reading ARCHID • AVST • DVX • BURG • BRABANT, denoting Charles II's titles as Archduke of Austria and Duke of Burgundy and Brabant. The entire design is enclosed within a toothed border, and the composition reflects the grand heraldic style characteristic of late Habsburg coinage.
