Reverse description Saint Peter depicted standing facing, nimbate, robed in flowing drapery rendered in the Gothic manner of the period. He holds a large key in his raised right hand, the attribute of his apostolic authority, and a book in his left hand. A star appears in the left field. The figure is presented in a hieratic, frontal posture typical of medieval ecclesiastical coinage, enclosed within a circular uncial legend and beaded border.
