| Descrizione del dritto | Highly stylised, abstracted head of Apollo facing right, rendered in the La Tène Celtic artistic tradition. The coiffure is articulated by a horizontal hairbar terminating in a bold radiate pellet star, with leaf-shaped hair strands arranged so that the inner tips point downward above the hairbar and upward below it, creating a pronounced angular junction between the upper and lower registers of the hair. The design exhibits the characteristic Celtic abstraction of the classical Apolline prototype, with individual facial features dissolved into decorative geometric and curvilinear elements within the flan. |

The Dobunni occupied a territory centered roughly on modern Gloucestershire, and their coinage circulated independently of the Catuvellaunian and Trinovantian issues dominating the southeast during Caesar's incursions of 55–54 BC. Whether those invasions disrupted Dobunni minting is unclear — their territory lay well west of Caesar's operational zone, and their output appears uninterrupted.
Sills 225 is among the earlier abstract fractional issues, predating the shift toward more naturalistic types seen later in Dobunni production.
